Fecha: 30 30e Mayo 30e 2016

This seminar examines how capitalism, racism and patriarchy interconnect, and how analyses that consider these structural mechanisms provide important input to understanding lived material, philosophical and symbolic situations. Focusing on the contributions emerging from Latin America (Abya Yala), the seminar will include analyses of social, political, historical, and economic aspects that are important to understand how gender, sexuality, racial formation, national belonging and social class have formed and maintained structural inequality on a regional Latin American level, as well as globally.

The seminar is specifically addressed to people working in development organizations, NGOs, critical social media, as well as students and scholars interested in North-South relations. The seminar is free of charge but requires registration to the following e-mail: liasube(at)gmail.com.
